The precarious, overgrown crater at the greatwood's heart. No Player, regardless of level, has ever survived the descent to its deepest reaches; at most, they wander the cliffs. The winds around the area are surprisingly chilly, and a dull, unnatural glow emanates from beneath the foliage and through the thin fog. Dangerous beasts frequent the area, drawn to a strange energy buzzing in the air.

A heavily forested region of Aurum, the Serpent's Jaw Greatwood is so named for the massive, overgrown crater at its center resembling a snake's maw. Players who attempt to reach the bottom always die to scripted fall damage. The rest of the forest is idyllic— the woods teem with wildlife and vast foliage, ripe with berries and game. The area is home to many common beasts including wolves and boars. In the deepest reaches, giants and great bears roam freely. It is said an ancient dragon makes the forest its home.
