[attr="class","liliya-header-content"] HARGRAVE[break]Level 010 GREAT SHIELDER
[attr="class","liliya-post-1"]
[attr="class","liliya-post-2"] Although it had taken quite a chunk of time, Hargrave had finally managed to push through his restrictions and made it all the way to level ten through his own efforts. It was certainly no easy task for a Great Shielder such as himself to achieve, considering his abnormally low attack stat, and yet here he was, living proof of the fact that it could happen. Knowing that he had managed to reach this point on his own, Hargrave had decided that it would be best to put his defenses to the test. And how was he going to go about that exactly? By dueling against other players in the city most renown for their training facilities and arenas! [break][break] Or so he had hoped to be the case. If Hargrave had come out to this city at just about any other time, he would likely have been able to accomplish what he initially set out to do. Today, of all day's however, the city guard had been running around and attempting to keep the city at peace. Apparently there was a bit of an exception to the usual activity of the city today. There were supposedly undead departing from the dueling ground dungeons and spilling out into the streets! This was something that Hargrave hadn't quite seen at the moment but he was certain that was what he had overheard from the guards as they had run on past him. [break][break] Hoping to obtain more information about what exactly was going on, the lone dwarf had decided to follow after the guards. In doing so, he would uncover a few things. The first had been that the guard was split into two sections. One for gathering assistance from powerful adventurers and the other for ensuring that citizens of Avalon didn't fall into panic. It was evident to the dwarf that the latter wouldn't be of help to him, so he had found himself making the rounds in search of the former group. It had taken him about five or so minutes but he had eventually come across one of the small groups of guards that had been hiring said adventurers. [break][break] "You there! Good sir! Just what exactly is going on," the dwarf would proceed to ask the guardsman. With an anxious yet somewhat subtle voice, the guardsman would respond. "There are undead spawning from the dungeons below and we need capable adventurers that are willing to put an end to the source of their creation. Are you willing to assist?" Unsurprisingly, in the moments that would follow, a holographic screen would appear before the dwarf, giving him the following information and asking if he would like to accept. [break][break]
A woman from Avalon has approached the city guard to confess her father a lunatic. Scholarly pursuit had taken the man far into the depths of forbidden knowledge, and he had been acting strangely as of late, murmuring mysterious dark words at all hours. He was arrested and thrown into the cells beneath the dueling grounds, awaiting the arrival of Arcane Knights to take him to trial.
[break][break]
Alas, it is now too late. The man has carved a cursed rune into his own skin hoping to release the great powers of the undead. His body instead turned to ash, marking the rune into the dungeon floor; it periodically summons undead creatures of increasing strength.
[break][break]
The city guard have their hands full preventing the city from falling to panic. Venture into the dueling ground dungeons and erase this rune from existence.

Recommended player level: 15+
Minimum party size three players, maximum four
[break][break] Those that had found themselves beside him, in the moment that he had received the quest, would also have received the quest window and the prompt as to whether or not they had desired to accept the mission. It was understandable if there were those that hadn't wished to join him in this venture, considering the recommended level for each player. Honestly, it was crazy for even Hargrave to be joining up with such a thing, considering that he was five levels lower than the recommended level. And yet he had still chosen to accept the mission, hoping that his defenses would provide enough support to those that had joined him in his efforts. And if he had to take on the mission himself? Well this mission might not come to an end any time soon..

The city was, to say the least, bustling. People were moving frantically, guards were instructing other villagers to remain calm and everyone was okay, and Issuwus had just wanted to check out the arena. She wasn't quite at the point that she wanted to do any direct player duels, but observing the field would surely provide some useful information. Alas, the city had other plans it seemed. But perhaps it didn't involve her. Any guard she had spoken to brushed her off. [break][break] “No worries, miss. The city guard is ensuring the city remains safe.” [break][break] “No worries, miss. The city guard has everything under control.” [break][break] “No worries, miss…” [break][break] Issuwus had heard enough. Evidently, the game didn't want to include her in this event. So, she would continue her way to the battlegrounds. A small feeling, however, told her to start her stream. She brought up her interface, and tabbed to the stream. Before long, she was rambling on about how weird this area was at the moment but nothing seemed to be going on. [break][break] It was sheer coincidence that she was in the position to overhear what sounded to be another player speak to one of the guards. She fully expected the responses of earlier, but this one broke the script. It was a quest prompt. Was she just speaking to the wrong guards? [break][break] She was in proximity enough to recieve the quest hover. She skimmed through the information, reading aloud for her chat. [break][break] Undead didn't sound too bad, she figured. All they had to do anyway really was break a rune. [break][break]
[attr="class","gamenotif_uwu"]Recommended Player Level: 15+
[break] Her eyes went wide. She was in no way near the right level for this one, but those that had gathered in her chat were already wild over it. [break][break] The fairy twisted the fabric of her dress in her hands, looking around to see who else would accept the quest. Who had even prompted it? Her gaze landed a few feet away on a stout figure with large muscles and even larger shields. She tilted her head - what class dual wielded shields? [break][break] It took a moment before it dawned on her. The Great Shielder - duh. It was very defensive class but far from weak. She practically beamed. A tank class was certainly something she would need. As long as he didn't die, she would be fine. Surely. [break][break] It was this thought that led her to hit the ACCEPT button. She wasn't immediately put into a party, which confused her to some extent until she remembered that the requirement was three players. Who would be the third? [break][break] It would be after the party formed that Issuwus would waltz her way to the direct side of the dwarf and give a small curtsy. Her exoframe would extend with her dress just slightly, adding emphasis to her bow before tightening back to her sides as she straightened. [break][break] “Hello!~” She would chirp, clasping her hands together in front of her chest. “I believe you're our brave leader?”
[attr="class","monbody"] A face of pure disgust made its way onto Lux’s visage as he pointed MEAT STICK towards another player adorned in various animal pelts, seemingly a naturalist who sucked at one-on-ones and got trampled by the might of the elves' magic prowess and his lunatic joy for combat. The Aegisbane brought a hand out to collect his winnings in platinum and snatched the bag as a wicked grin found its way onto Lux’s face while he decided, perhaps, there was a bit more to see within the confines of the multi-storied coliseum. He was sure there was some dweeb bragging about how he was at the top of the leaderboards or another player min-maxing to get himself to be that incremental percentage better than other players, but Lux wasn’t here for any of that bullshit. He loved feeling the power (through physical prowess, psychological warfare, or simply wealth) that he could control over other people, how they moved like pieces on a chess board to his every whim and desire. His entire life had been so regimented, so detrimental with goading nannies and absent parents, he had to be in charge of his own continence and he sought pleasure in all forms and varieties, this so happened to be ridicule caused by domination.
That would be enough for the day, he was off to log out in an inn so he could go check on some of his more lucrative virtual businesses until he heard the words of some non-player character spouting off nonsense about undead and needing brave adventurers to go and venture forth. Hard pass from Lux!
The towering figure maneuvered through the duo speaking until he saw a pop-up appear asking if he’d like to join the quest. Under a stifled laugh, Lux closed out the window paying it no mind until his eyes noticed on his interface a party was created and the leader was the stupid tiny dwarf he just passed.
” What the hell?” He mumbled, face scrunching as he realized he was the only idiot he could blame for accidentally pressing accept on the quest invitation. After a slew of muttering curse words, Lux turned himself around and saw not only that these players were lower leveled than him, the girl was a damn streamer and level five. She probably wanted a carry and would just grieve if she even got remotely hurt and this dwarf didn’t look much more promising either.
”Okay, someone give me a rundown of what we gotta do again. The quest box disappeared to quick for me to catch it.”
[attr="class","liliya-header-content"] HARGRAVE[break]Level 10 GREAT SHIELDER
[attr="class","liliya-post-1"]
[attr="class","liliya-post-2"] Shortly after having accepted the quest from the guardsman before him, a cute girl with pink aesthetics would approach him. Her sudden introduction had completely caught him off guard and as such, he couldn't help but stumble over his words upon responding. "Hm? O-oh, I, er.. Yeah, I guess that you could say that. Albeit I wasn't exactly attempting to be as much when I initially chose to accept the quest." This was about all he could manage to say before he was interrupted from another outside source. "A rundown?" [break][break] As he had started to speak up once more, Hargrave would finally notice that a party had been formed and he had been placed at the leader. Out of a max of four people, there were only three in the area that had chosen to accept this quest. Himself having been the first to do so. "Well if we are going by the mission log," he says whilst pulling up the quest screen and turning it about so that the elf could see it. "It seems as though we need to venture into the dueling ground dungeons and remove some kind of rune." [break][break] Having been placed as the leader of their party, Hargrave had decided to try and properly fulfill the role. In order to maximize his capabilities in this regard, he was sure to take a step back from the duo before surveying them with his passive skill activating. [ DETECT MAGIC ITEM ] would find itself called upon as the dwarf had run his gaze upon the others within the party. Shortly after he had run his gaze over the pair, Hargrave would come to know that the two hadn't held any uncommon items of any sort. Not all that surprising considering that there weren't many that actually had one. Not that he had been aware of anyways. [break][break] From there, Hargrave would send the mission screen away and would call upon the party management tab. This had allowed for him to ascertain the levels of the other two. A level five player and a level eleven player. Add him into the mix of things and Hargrave honestly couldn't tell if they would be alright on this mission. "Before we head on in and attempt to do as much, I suggest we speak on our classes and what roles we'll take while down there. Since I suggested as much, I'll go ahead and speak on my end first. My name is Hargrave and I'm a level ten Great Shielder. If we find ourselves targeted by various enemies down there, I'll take the time to draw their attention to myself, ultimately allowing for the two of you to beat them down while I have their aggro. And yourselves?"

The fairy met the dwarf's initial fluster with a small giggle before the new voice joined them. He seemed… grumpy, she determined, but would turn to observe him all the same. On the contrary to the stout man she had just met, this one was tall and instead of any rugged charm, he seemed to be more… pretty? She blinked, surprised at the vibrant pink atop his head. Definitely a pretty boy. It wasn't a bad view… not bad at all. She would be certain to keep the dust of pink across her cheeks. [break][break] It came to her attention that he asked for a rundown. The quest box disappeared? Was he one of the players that just hits “accept” on any quest and just follows the mission bullets as they update? The girl wrinkled her nose at the thought and hid her chat hover. It was standard, her viewers knew, for more “difficult” quests. One less thing to clutter her vision was a definite necessity. [break][break] And so, their valiant leader opted for introductions. Smart, she figured. He was Hargrave, a level ten Great Shielder. She cheered a bit - she was right. He seemed apt to the proper tank role, too, pulling aggro to allow the dps to make the most of their damage. As he finished speaking, she was quite content and took the pause between the group as her turn to speak. [break][break] “Well put, Mister Hargrave! I trust you to protect us~” The song did not leave her voice. From her earlier stride, it was undamaged by the group's apparent underlevel. “Recommended”, she knew, didn't mean “Required”. All the same, perhaps she should start with an apology to maintain the good standings? [break][break] “Hopefully I'm not a burden to you guys. I caught the level rec right as I hit accept, but it's my pleasure to party with you! I'm Issuwus, a level five Exoframe Pilot. As long as you guys can keep their attention, and I can stay to a bit of range, I've got enough armaments to deal some damage at least!” She gave a bow before turning to their final member. He looked strong - but she didn't see any signs of him being another tank. Perhaps, he would help make up for her low level in the damage field and everything would go by smoothly.
